About Lisa
Life is like a piano.
What you get out of it depends on how you play it! How does your life sound?
I love adding new movements. The latest being wedding bells on January 1st to Vic Johnson. JOSEPH (my son) and I added 10 new family members (3 children, 2 spouses and 5 grandchildren). Aka TYLER, & Savannah with Dylan and Austin; VICTORIA and Drew with Tommy, Hannah and Mason; and CARTER.
My friends laugh when I say I consider myself average. A few have told me they live vicariously through my life. After a 20 month remodel on the lake house culminating with a RED (I see you smiling) washer and dryer… steam no less …My husband Vic, thinks I should spread it around a bit and live vicariously through my girlfriends for a while!
What makes up the musical movement of my life? Interests include anything that kicks up my adrenalin, so the roar of NASCAR is a thrill. Roar is great but DRIVING is moBetta!!! The Richard Petty driving experience at Daytona (146.33mph) and the Mario Andretti driving experience in Las Vegas (152 mph) were a kick! Jumping tandum was the best adrenalin rush ever, hiking the Grand Canyon, water sports, walking and horseback riding. All kinds of sporting events & playing my own version of Golf.
Gardening, cooking (friends say gourmet, I don’t) & remodeling keeps my creative juice flowing. Concerts, cultural events, dancing, dinner parties at home, fine dining, wine tasting, movies, reading & music (classical, country, pop, jazz,) are some additional flavors in my life.
Traveling has taken me many places. The most profound was standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon and then hiking to the bottom and back out. The best gift? Vic asking me if I wanted a surprise birthday party or taking all the kids to Rome! That was easy…to Rome we all went. Watching them experience a different culture and ‘walk’ thru history was a gift that keeps on giving.
Two favorite ways to unwind and feed my soul…listen to Josh Grobin, Paul Potts, Chris Botti or Andrea Bocceli, a great glass of wine, watching the unbelievable sunset on our dock in Florida OR climb in my bathtub (air and water jets) and ‘sail’ away.
I believe in feeding the body, soul and spirit. Part of that is giving back to each other, to family and to the community. I believe a relationship deserves and needs the same to be healthy and whole. I enjoy the challenge of meeting new people and am intrigued by the unique qualities of each person. Generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in any situation. Convinced that it is good to be alive, work can be fun and no matter what the setbacks one must never lose one’s sense of humor.
Yes, I am passionate about life are you?
