Blueberry High!

Day one ... yummmm! There are acres and acres of blueberries. Picking and eating ... I kept thinking this will be the best picture and there were LOTS of best pictures. First day's haul for me that I still had to clean and store - the wash bucket and the half filled bucket on the right ... however I ended up with all three to process ... YIKES! John and Michel, Alan and Linda and me went as the first group ... by the time we were all done picking the back end was stacked with everyones berries! Guess what we all did ALL day long ... Rinse, Sort and Store! Two days later we are back at it ... the die hards! Ann and Michel peeking thru the berry bushes. Deb joined us this morning too. The berries were even better on this section of the field. Never left the same row. Laden with berries. Beautiful ... Bucket #1 headed to the car to pour into the washtub. I am convinced its a drug addiction. I did however pick 'clean' this time. Linda won the award for the cleanest buckets of berries the first picking. I decided I was gonna streamline the berry cleaning process in the field this go round! It is AH-mazing what kind of fruit you get off the trees vs the stores. Deb brought some plums from her tree. Have you ever seen a plum red to the seed? Oh so good!Photos 1 – 13 out of 13 | Back to Albums
Description: My first time to pick blueberries and I am HOOKED. Went twice! Made two cobblers and some Sugar Free Preserves. AH-mazing! Thanks Ann Crawford for including me. So far I have put up 40+ cups of berries with another washtub full to process. So many I had to ‘rent’ a shelf in Susan’s freezer. Thanks Susan!
